The Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon. Eric Oppoku, is participating in the 2025 World Food Prize Summit taking place in Des Moines, Iowa, United States.

The annual event, officially known as the Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue, brings together world leaders, policymakers, scientists, farmers, and industry experts to discuss strategies for achieving global food security.

This year’s summit, running from October 20 to 24, 2025, is being held at the Iowa Events Center under the theme “SOILutions for Security.” The theme underscores the critical role of soil health and sustainable agricultural practices in strengthening food and nutrition security amid global climate challenges.
