“Answer The GH¢55 Million Questions” ,NDC’s Mbilla Fires At NPP Over EOCO Probe

A member of the NDC Communications Team in Bawku Central,  Henry Inusah Mbilla, has called on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to stop the political noise and explain allegations surrounding the arrest of Dennis Miracles Aboagye by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO).

According to Mbilla, EOCO is investigating Dennis Miracles Aboagye over alleged misappropriation, misapplication and theft of public funds to the tune of approximately GH¢55 million.

He accused the NPP General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, of diverting attention from the substantive issues by issuing political warnings instead of addressing the allegations.

“For me, the issue is simple. If there are allegations involving public funds, the focus should be on establishing the truth through lawful investigations. Ghanaians deserve answers, not political propaganda,” Mr. Mbilla stated.

He said threatening that “power is transient” cannot shield anyone from accountability, and no democratic society should discourage state institutions from investigating the use of public resources.

Mbilla also questioned the NPP’s confidence of returning to power.

“Who says the tables will turn for the NPP? After what many Ghanaians describe as eight years of economic hardship, rising unemployment, high inflation and declining public confidence in governance, it is the people of Ghana who will decide the future. Elections are won through performance, not threats.”

He maintained that every Ghanaian, regardless of political affiliation, must be held accountable under the law whenever credible allegations arise.

The NDC communicator therefore urged the NPP leadership to abandon what he described as attempts to politicise lawful investigations and demonstrate transparency by addressing the concerns raised.
