Over one hundred members of the Ruling the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have defect to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The group say they are disappointed in the bad governance and total neglect of their area by the Nana Akufo Addo-Bawumia led government despite the votes they secure in the area
Led by one Kwaku Agyiri the angry residents said they had high expectations after the promises made by the NPP in 2016 and the assurances in 2020 but after comparing records, they are convinced the NDC is rather more committed to the development of the region.
The announcement was made at Ekumfi Narkwa during the tour of the Central region by Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang
Kwaku Agyiri who later spoke in an interview with Akora Kofi Darko, a Senior reporter with Accra based Power FM during a community engagement and house to house campaign by the Running Mate to John Mahama noted that the government of Akufo Addo and Bawumia has rendered fisher folks in the country jobless due unavailability of premix fuel and the high coast outboard motors.
He called all Ghanaians to vote for John Mahama and NDC to implement their better policies such as the famous 24-hour Economy and National Women Development Bank to support women and the improve the lives of the ordinary people
