Flag Bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama says the seat of government, Flagstaff House has rather become the den for cooking fake news and not the NDC
Me Mahama who was reacting to an attempt to pitch him against the Mamprugus after his response to a request from the Bawku Naaba to carve a new region out of the Upper East region said their attempt to misrepresent facts exposes their desperation.
“ Yesterday (Saturday August 3,2024) when the Bawku Naaba made the appeal, II spoke about the feasibility referring to “land size, population and economic viability and reiterated the fact that these are Constitutional matters and that there were processes that needed to be met” he explained during his campaign tour in the Binduri constituency of the Upper East region.
He continued – “In the evening I saw a fake news story misrepresenting completely what I said and trying to put me against the Mamprugu state. I never mentioned Mamprugu yesterday at all”
Mr Mahama accused the President, Nana Akufo Addo of superintending over misinformation at the Flag Staff House
“the Flag Staff House is where all fake news are generated and spread across social media platforms to misrepresent facts and to cause disaffection” he emphasized
On the AGYAPADIE document which shows a carefully planned blue print on the Nana Akufo Addo led ‘state capture’ agenda, Mr Mahama said the fake news cabal at the Flag Staff house were at it again their desperate attempt to tag NDC officials as the authors
“what he (Nana Akufo Addo) must know is his office, the Flagstaff house that has become the headquarters of misinformation. That is where they fake stories, misrepresent what people have said and feed it into the social media and so he should clean his house” he cautioned.
