The Ghana Education Service (GES) has extended the deadline for the 2025 Teacher Promotion Application process, citing technical challenges that affected access to the online portal.
The application window, which opened on August 18, 2025, was originally set to close on September 5, 2025. However, some teachers reported difficulties logging in and submitting their forms.
In a statement on Thursday, August 28, 2025, GES assured applicants that its technical team is working to stabilize and improve the system to ensure a smoother application experience.
“Our ultimate goal is to ensure that every eligible teacher who has served at least four years on their current rank and is due for promotion is fully supported to go through a stress-free application process,” the Service emphasized.
The 2025 promotion exercise covers four ranks.
Deputy Director, Assistant Director I, Assistant Director II, and Principal Superintendent. Eligibility is restricted to teachers who have served the required minimum years on their current ranks and meet the necessary qualification criteria.
GES encouraged teachers to remain patient, noting that the updated deadline will be communicated once system enhancements are completed.
