Ghana- Czech Republic to enhance mutually beneficial cooperation

President John Mahama has underscored Ghana’s readiness to strengthen cooperation with the Czech Republic in areas of mutual benefits.

These areas he says include, investment in technology, agriculture and agribusiness, mining, trade and industry amongst others.

President John Mahama said Ghana is poised to elevate this relation to greater heights with the Czech Republic by transforming bonds between the two nations into dynamic economic partnership in the 21st century.

He made the remarks at the Ghana – Czech Business Cooperation Forum in Accra on Wednesday, April 9,2025.

He said ” if you want to go fast, you go alone. If you want to go far, then you go together. We wan to go far and we will do so with Czech collegues. It is in this spirit of collaboration that we gather here today to forge partnership that will benefit generations to come”

President Mahama said with Ghana’s large natural resources deposits, and a growing youth population and Czech Republic’s enviable industrial heritage, technological expertise and innovation, the two nations stand to benefit greatly by deepening their economic cooperation.

On his part, President Petr Pavel was optimistic Ghana was the desired destination for investment due to the country’s high Democratic standard, lot of natural resources and a country that is capable of creating political stability both home and in the Sub region.

“And that is why it is a natural environment to create these little islands of stability and cooperation in a world that is increasingly unstable. And I believe that, this world, we have a common interest to build on shared values, to build on partnership and to build on friendship” he said.
