The Ministry of Health has dismissed claims by former Health Minister Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye that 70 percent of the Agenda 111 hospital projects were completed under the previous administration.
Earlier on Thursday, Dr. Okoe Boye addressed a press conference where he urged government to expedite work on stalled projects such as the La General Hospital Redevelopment and the Agenda 111 hospitals.
He claimed that most of them were more than 70 percent complete and could be finished within 90 days with adequate support.
However, the Ministry’s Public Relations Officer, Tony Goodman, has refuted the claims, describing them as “completely false.”
According to him, none of the Agenda 111 projects were anywhere near completion when the current administration took office.
He added that the Ministry’s records do not support the figures presented by the former minister.
Mr. Goodman further urged the public to disregard the claims and rely instead on verified information from the Ministry of Health.
