Ghana’s most prolific gospel artists Michael Oware Sakyi, professionally known as Minister OJ, has criticized celebrities for not following their fans back on social media.
In an interview with Afia Owusu on XZone on TV XYZ, Minister OJ expressed his frustration, calling it highly disrespectful for artists to ignore their fans on social media. He noted that while celebrities often have millions of followers, they only follow a select few people they know personally.
Reacting to this trend, the “Obi Nya W’aye” hitmaker stressed that celebrities should reciprocate the energy and love they receive from their fans.
“It’s very disrespectful not to follow your fans as a celebrity. Without your fans, you’re a nobody, so you should show them that you appreciate them. Love is reciprocal. There are many artists out there, so if someone chooses you as their favorite, you should give that love back,” he emphasized.
