The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Krachi West, Hon. Prosper Kwaku Addo, and the Member of Parliament, Hon. Adzoa Hellen Ntoso, have jointly donated a significant consignment of school furniture to improve teaching and learning conditions across the municipality.
The donation, comprising 228 hexagonal tables and 2,271 chairs was presented to the Ghana Education Service (GES) Directorate for distribution to schools from kindergarten through Junior High School (JHS).
Speaking to XYZ News, Hon. Prosper Kwaku Addo reaffirmed the NDC administration’s commitment to enhancing educational infrastructure in Krachi West.
He noted that the government is working to address long-standing challenges, including the renovation of dilapidated classroom structures.
Requests for additional support, he said, have already been submitted to Accra to fast-track rehabilitation works.
“We want every child to study in a safe and conducive environment. This furniture delivery is only the beginning,” the MCE emphasized.
Teachers across the municipality have welcomed the intervention, describing it as timely and impactful.
They said the new furniture would greatly improve classroom conditions, especially given the poor state of existing facilities.
They commended the MCE and MP for prioritizing education and expressed optimism that the improved learning environment would contribute to better academic outcomes for pupils.
The initiative marks one of the most substantial investments in educational logistics in recent years and is expected to significantly enhance the learning experience for thousands of learners in Krachi West.
