Mahama names Julius Debrah as Chief of Staff

President-elect John Mahama has appointed Mr Julius Debrah as Chief of Staff.

His appointment was announced when Mr Mahama unveiled key appointments to the Office of the President, set to take effect on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

Mr Debrah previously served in the same role during Mahama’s earlier administration.

A statement issued on January 6 and signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, an aide to President Mahama, confirmed the appointments, highlighting their strategic importance in supporting the incoming administration’s agenda.

Other people who were appointed to the high office of the land include Dr Callistus Mahama, Executive Secretary to the President; Prosper Douglas Bani, Head of Interim Security Taskforce; Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, Senior Presidential Advisor of Governmental Affairs and Augustus Goosie Tanoh as presidential Advisor responsible for 24-hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development.

The rest are  Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew, Legal Counsel to the President and Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu  as the Acting Spokesperson to the President.
