The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has intercepted a shipment containing substances suspected to be cocaine at the Swiss Port in Tema.
The bust, which occurred on Wednesday, 23 August 2024, involved 73 slabs of suspected cocaine weighing approximately 89.74 kilograms.
The illicit cargo was being packaged for export to the Netherlands.
NACOC officials confirmed that four suspects have been arrested and are currently in custody as investigations continue.
Authorities say the seizure forms part of ongoing efforts to clamp down on transnational drug trafficking networks operating through Ghana’s ports.
