A member of the governing NDC communication team, Siddique Abubakar Suleiman, has urged the persons appointed by President John Mahama to serve in his new government must prioritise the creation of jobs targeted at reducing youth unemployment in the country.
In his estimation, the youth of the country who voted massively for the NDC in the 2024 elections have no access to sustainable jobs, stressing that it is the promise of job creation through the 24 hour economy policy that youngsters supported the NDC to power.
Reacting to recent appointees being made, Siddique urged the new appointees to work hard to tackle youth unemployment aimed at achieving one of the critical promise made by Mr Mahama while campaigning to Ghanaians for power.
“Use your offices to create jobs and drive business opportunities. It cannot be business as usual; focus on solving unemployment and delivering the promise of a 24-hour economy,” Siddique Abubakar Suleiman noted.
Siddique contends the creation of jobs will help reduce poverty and give a better governance experience for the people that voted to bring the NDC to power.
