NPP digging holes everywhere with no purpose – Prof Opoku Agyemang

The Vice Presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang has lambasted the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for embarking on deceptive projects across the country

According to her, the failed Akufo Addo- Bawumia government is digging everywhere indiscriminately with no purpose.

Addressing a gathering in the Western Region during a campaign tour, Professor Opoku-Agyemang accused the NPP of initiating projects without any intention of completing them, solely to deceive voters and create a false impression of development.

“The NPP’s approach to development is like digging holes with no purpose. They start projects in election years, only to abandon them after the elections are over,” she stated.

Her comment comes amidst widespread concern about shoddy work and waste of money especially on road and health related facilities started within the last quarter of this year.

The NDC running mate cited the stalled redevelopment of the Takoradi Market Circle and the abandoned railway project in Takoradi as examples of the NPP’s deceptive projects.

Professor Opoku Agyemang said in contrast, the NDC has a proven track record of completing projects and promoting meaningful development.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang urged voters to be discerning and not fall for the NPP’s deceptive tactics.

She promised that an NDC government would prioritize meaningful development and job creation, and called on voters to support the party in the upcoming elections.
