The Ashanti South Regional Police Command, through an intelligence-led operation, has arrested six suspects believed to be members of a robbery and gang rape syndicate operating in Juaso in the Ashanti Region.
The suspects, identified as David Adusah, also known as Vibes; Samuel Amantor, also known as Road; Andrew Odei, also known as Salinco; Sharif Mohammed, also known as Isco; Joseph Addo, also known as Moves; and Chidi Arinze, also known as Orga Happiness, were arrested on 8 January 2026.
Searches conducted at the suspects’ residences led to the retrieval of forty-nine mobile phone covers, a bayonet case, a green dress resembling a military uniform, and a photograph showing the alleged leader of the group dressed in military-style camouflage.

A Toyota RAV4 vehicle, believed to have been used by the group during their operations, was also retrieved and impounded.
During interrogation, the suspects admitted to their involvement in the reported cases.
On 12 January 2026, the suspects were put before court and remanded into lawful custody to reappear on 28 January 2026 to allow the Police to complete investigations.
The Ghana Police Service assures the public that investigations are ongoing and that all persons found culpable will be made to face the full rigours of the law.
