Women’s Bank to benefit all, not only NDC members – Hanna Bisiw

The National Women Organiser for the opposition NDC, Dr Hanna Louisa Bisiw has assured Ghanaians that the party is committed to supporting businesses to thrive when they win power in the December polls.

The former Minister who was speaking on Dwaboase programme on TV XYZ said the NDC’s promise to establish a Women’s Development Bank to give soft loans to women owning small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the country is one of the ways the next John Mahama administration will use to improve the lives of the vulnerable in the country when they assume power.

According to Dr Bisiw, the bank will not serve the needs of only NDC members but every woman who qualifies to get support from the financial institution.

“The bank is not going to serve NDC women. Every Ghanaian woman who is into business and needs support will be able to access the loan once they qualify, ” she assured.

The bank, she said, will play a critical role in reviving the ailing economy to give respite to Ghanaians.

The women leader went on to outline some policies in the NDC Youth manifesto that was launched last week and urged Ghanaian women, especially the youth to trust the NDC flag bearer, former president John Mahama and vote him to power in the upcoming polls.

“John Mahama, our flag bearer is committed and can be trusted to turn the fortunes of the country around, create sustainable jobs women and the youth, unlike the NPP government that has failed the entire country,” she stated.

Dr Bisiw further indicated that Ghanaians should not trust Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the new leader of the NPP to fulfill the promises he made to Ghanaians on Sunday during their manifesto launch.

She argued that if he could do all he promised, Ghana would not be in debt and the economy messier, pushing so many people, including women into hardship.

To her, it is John Mahama who is trustworthy and can turn the country around.
