Tema oil terminal donates motorbikes to Kpone Police to bolster security

The Tema Oil Terminal (TOT) has donated two brand-new Apsonic Jungle (AP 200cc) motorbikes to the Kpone District Police Headquarters to enhance security patrols and law enforcement in the area.

The presentation was made on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Kpone Police Station, during a brief ceremony attended by representatives from both Tema Oil Terminal (TOT) and the Ghana Police Service.

The donation forms part of TOT’s Safety Week celebrations, during which the company reaffirmed its commitment to safety and community collaboration.

Presenting the motorbikes, TOT’s Operations Manager noted that the company recognises the critical role of the police in maintaining peace and security, especially within the industrial enclave of Tema where the terminal operates.

“We believe these bikes will boost mobility for the Kpone police, enabling quicker response times and more effective patrols,” he said.

Receiving the donation, the Kpone District Police Commander expressed gratitude to TOT, describing the gesture as timely and supportive of the police’s operational needs.

He assured the company that the motorbikes would be put to good use in safeguarding the community and industrial installations.

The Tema Oil Terminal, located in Tema’s Heavy Industrial Area, is a key petroleum product storage and distribution hub, handling Gas Oil (Diesel) and Gasoline (Petrol).

Its Safety Week included a range of activities focused on health, environmental protection, and corporate responsibility.

The gesture aligns with increasing calls for greater private sector participation in community safety initiatives across Ghana.
