Letter explaining Ofori-Atta’s absence from Ghana sent to OSP – Frank Davies

Frank Davies, a member of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta’s legal team, has confirmed that a formal letter was sent to the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) on May 27, 2025, notifying them of Ofori-Atta’s inability to appear in person due to ongoing medical treatment in the United States.

Despite this communication, the OSP has not acknowledged receipt of the letter.
In addition to the letter, Ofori-Atta’s legal team has submitted medical documentation to both the OSP and the Human Rights Court, detailing his health condition and upcoming surgical procedures.

They have also proposed a virtual session with the OSP, referencing provisions under the Electronic Transactions Act to facilitate this alternative arrangement.
