The Ghana Police Service has secured the conviction of David Kwodwo Prah Afful, popularly known as Kwame Nkrumah II, who was arrested on September 13, 2025, for inciting violence against public officials and government workers.
Afful was arraigned before Circuit Court 8 in Accra, presided over by His Honour Amoah Hagan, on two charges.
Threat of death and offensive conduct conducive to the breach of the peace.
He pleaded not guilty to the first count of Threat of Death but admitted guilt on the second count of Offensive Conduct.
On his own plea, the court convicted him and sentenced him to seven months’ imprisonment with hard labour.
The case on the first count has been adjourned to October 15, 2025.
The convict is being processed for transfer to the Nsawam Medium Security Prisons to serve his sentence.
The Ghana Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that individuals whose actions threaten public peace, safety, and national security are dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.
