Pantang Hospital has kicked off activities to commemorate its 50th anniversary with a massive cleanup exercise in the hospital and the surrounding Pantang community.
The event, held on Saturday, brought together hospital staff, youth groups, and community members.
The cleanup follows the official launch of the anniversary celebrations on August 29 and a well-attended health walk the following week.
Speaking during the exercise, the Director-General of Pantang Hospital underscored the urgent need for modern facilities, noting that many of the hospital’s buildings are as old as the institution itself.
“Pantang Hospital is 50 years old, and most of our structures have equally reached that age. There is an urgent need for a modern facility to meet today’s healthcare demands,” he stressed.
The anniversary celebration continues with a series of activities aimed at highlighting the hospital’s contribution to healthcare delivery in Ghana and mobilising support for its renewal.
