Former MASLOC CEO detained in Nevada following extradition request

Former MASLOC CEO, Mrs. Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu, is currently in detention in the United States after being arrested by U.S. Marshals in connection with an extradition request from Ghana, the Embassy of Ghana in Washington, D.C. has confirmed.

In a statement dated January 15, 2026, the Ghanaian Embassy said Mrs. Tamakloe-Attionu is being held at the Nevada Southern Detention Center in Pahrump, Nevada.

According to the Embassy, she was arrested on January 6, 2026, and has remained in custody since then.

The statement, signed by Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States, Victor Emmanuel Smith, indicated that the arrest followed an extradition request submitted to U.S. authorities in July 2024. Acting on that request, U.S. Marshals apprehended Mrs. Tamakloe-Attionu and placed her in detention pending court proceedings.

The Embassy noted that she is currently being held to await her day in court, as required under U.S. legal procedures governing extradition matters.

The communication was addressed to all media houses but did not provide further details on the charges or the timeline for the court process.
