Coastal cities, including Accra, Kasoa, Aflao, and Anloga, face a 40% chance of rain during both the morning and afternoon, with conditions expected to turn mostly cloudy in the evening.

In the forest and transition zones , including Kumasi, Koforidua, Ho, Akim Oda, Obuasi, Goaso, Sunyani, and Atebubu, thunderstorms accompanied by rain are anticipated mainly in the afternoon, with some areas likely to see continued stormy weather into the evening.

Safety Advisory

GMet has issued a “Be Prepared” alert for possible thunderstorms and rainfall in several areas. The public is urged to remain weather aware, especially in flood-prone zones.

Meanwhile, GMet has warned that sea conditions will be rough. Fishermen, boat operators, and other users of Ghana’s coastal waters are advised to exercise caution.
