A joint Ghana Armed Forces and Ghana Police Service team has arrested 11 suspects for possessing unlicensed weapons at Kromase near Nkwanta in the Oti Region.
The team recovered weapons and other security-related items during the intelligence-led operation.
The operation was led by Combat Team Commander Major Muktar Saani in the early hours of Wednesday, August 26, 2026.
The STARLIGHT STRETCH III exercise aimed at strengthening the Ghana Army’s readiness to respond to emerging security threats in the country.
The suspects are in Police custody assisting investigations investigations.
