President John Dramani Mahama will this morning begin a two-day #ResettingGhana Tour of the Volta Region.
The visit starts from Juapong, where he will cut the sod for the start of construction works on eighteen (18) 24-hour Economy Model Markets across all the districts in the region.
The president will visit the Peki College of Education (GOVCO), the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) at Sokode, inspect ongoing works on the Asikuma to Ho road under the Big Bush Programme and also inaugurate a District Police Headquarters for the Akatsi North District.
The President, who will be accompanied by Ministers of State, Heads of Institutions, and Members of Parliament will also host an educational durbar on the Free Primary Health Care programme.
On Friday, the president will host a town hall meeting to engage directly with the chiefs and people of the region directly at the Ho Technical University. This will offer him and the government an opportunity to receive direct feedback on key policy interventions and development projects in the region.
President Mahama is also scheduled to visit the Ho Sports Stadium for first hand information on its current state.
