Deputy Minister for Education, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak (MP) has reiterated Ghana’s commitment to strengthening education at all levels.
He said Ghana is open to partnerships with international organisations and development partners to strengthen foundational learning and improve education outcomes.
Dr. Apaak, made the call at an education-focused event on the sidelines of UNGA81.
Dr Apaak who is also MP for Builsa South commended organisations supporting education in Ghana and encouraged more partners to bring innovative ideas, expertise and resources to the country.
“We still need your partnership,” he said, particularly highlighting the importance of investing in foundational learning.
He stressed that getting education right at the foundation gives every child a better opportunity to succeed while reducing future costs.
The Government’s renewed focus includes play-based learning, which has been incorporated into the newly reviewed basic school curriculum.
