Traders at Buduburam in the Gomoa East district of the Central Region have formally declared their support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the upcoming elections approach.
Their endorsement came during a campaign visit by the NDC Running Mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang on Monday.
Leader of the group, Fatima Ankofo who disclosed their resolve said thejr decision is informed by a promise by NDC to build a modern market complex for traders in the area.
“We are confident rhe NDC will deliver on its promise because of its track record in infrastructure development- she noted
For them the project if complimented by easy access to capital through the proposed Women Development Bank will help expand their businesses and improve livelihoods.
Meanwhile, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang has donated 200 bags of cement for the renovation of the Buduburam community centre.
The donation was in response to a plea from the Chief of the area Nana Kojo Essel II.
