Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs through innovative financial products, business advisory services, and financial literacy programmes aimed at helping women-owned enterprises grow and thrive.
Delivering remarks at the 6th Women in Trade and Investment Conference 2026, the Managing Director of CBG, Dr Naomi Worlali Kwetey said the bank recognizes women as key drivers of economic growth, innovation, and national development, adding that investing in women ultimately strengthens families, businesses, and communities.
Addressing participants at the conference, held under the theme “Financial Avenues for Women Entrepreneurs,” the CBG Managing Director described the event as an important platform that celebrates the resilience, creativity, and achievements of Ghanaian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), particularly women-led businesses.
She noted that CBG is committed to being more than just a financial institution by serving as a trusted partner that provides women entrepreneurs with the financial support, tools, and opportunities needed to start, expand, and sustain their businesses.
The Managing Director encouraged participants to explore the bank’s wide range of financial solutions, including savings and investment products, flexible financing options, and business advisory services tailored to meet the needs of entrepreneurs at different stages of business development.
She also highlighted the importance of financial literacy, saying CBG’s educational programmes are designed to equip business owners with the knowledge and confidence to make sound financial decisions, improve business management, and achieve long-term growth.
The bank further urged women entrepreneurs attending the conference to maximize the networking opportunities available by building partnerships, exchanging experiences, and learning from one another to strengthen their businesses.
Reaffirming the bank’s customer-focused approach, the Managing Director assured participants that CBG remains ready to listen to the needs of businesses of all sizes and provide financial solutions suited to their respective industries.
