The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Ghana’s online passport application service is temporarily experiencing challenges due to a technical fault,
This was communicated through a notice issued on August, 25, 2026, from the Ministry, explaining that its passport application website, passport.mfa.gov.gh, was experiencing technical problems.
The notice added that a technical team was working with the National Signals Bureau (NSB) to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.
The Ministry apologised to customers for the inconvenience caused by the outage and added it would provide an update once the problem had been resolved, although it did not indicate how long the website would remain unavailable.
