Mahama begins first phase of 2024 campaign in Upper East Region

Flag Bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama will kick off the first phase of his 2024 campaign tours from the Upper East Region.

The visit, which will involve courtesy calls on traditional and religious leaders, engagements with ordinary Ghanaians, various groups, traders, artisans, and door to door campaign, is to explain his policy proposals and assure Ghanians of hope in him based on his record.

The tour follows the successful launch of the Mahama 2024 Campaign in the Northern Regional Capital, Tamale on Saturday, July 27,2024.

On Tuesday, the former President officially introduced his Running Mate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman to the Central Regional House of Chiefs, and sought their blessings for the difficult task ahead despite opinion polls which suggest he is most likely to with the December 7 elections

He is expected to be joined by Members of Parliament and Parliamentary Candidates from the region, sme former appointees and party executives

The first phase of the tour which begins from August 3 to 2024, will take Mr. Mahama to meet with chiefs, groups, market women, professional bodies among other engagements.

A statement signed by Spokesperson, Joyce Bawah Mogtari said ‘this year’s campaign strategy will prioritize smaller events, community entertainments, and targeted activities aimed at fostering personal connections and understanding the needs of the citizens”

The statement further called on all well-meaning Ghanaians to follow the campaign in selling the message of hope to all. “We invite all citizens to follow the campaign through the media and the flag bearer’s social media pages. Your participation and support are vital as we embark on this journey together ” it concluded.
