“Vote for Mahama, He Really Cares” – Prof. Opoku Agyemang to Nursing students

The Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress NDC, Prof Jane Naana  Opoku Agyemang has urged students of Goaso Nursing and Midwifery College to vote massively for John Mahama because he has good intentions which will not only guarantee them jobs but create more opportunities for the growth of the health sector.

 

Professor Opoku Agyemang who is currently on a campaign tour of the Bono Regions said the NDC remains committed to expanding health facilities and education.

 

“NDC cares, Mahama cares, we care.” she emphasized

 

Prof Nana Jane Opoku Agyemang highlighted the party’s unwavering track record in the training of the youth, construction of health facilities across the county among related initiatives.

 

Prof. Opoku Agyemang listed key infrastructure projects including the establishment of the University of Ghana Medical Centre, the Bank of Ghana Hospital, the expansion and elevation of numerous health facilities and the development of dental health schools.

 

“We have built regional hospitals that not only cater to the health needs of Ghanaians but also teach medicine, along with establishing district hospitals and healthcare centers throughout the country.”

 

“We introduced the Onua Dor Vans to bring healthcare closer to communities.”

 

“These are efforts that we have implemented with limited resources, yet with a clear vision: to create jobs and support professionals in the health sector,” she explained.

 

Prof. Opoku Agyemang pledged that the next NDC government would prioritize quality primary and specialized healthcare.

 

She underscored the importance of localized healthcare facilities in health promotion, disease prevention, and mental health awareness.

 

“Our plan includes focusing on comprehensive healthcare systems that encourage healthy lifestyles among Ghanaians,” she explained.

 

She also lamented the current state of abandoned health facilities across the nation.

 

“The NDC intends to return to abandoned projects to complete them and ensure that they serve their intended purpose,” she stated.

 

She called on the student nurses to consider the records of the previous Mahama administration and NDC’s commitment to the future in healthcare and beyond as they head to the polls.

 

“Your future depends on your choices today.” she said.
