Women’s Development Bank will empower female entrepreneurs – Prof. Opoku Agyemang

Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has reiterated the party’s pledge to establish a Women’s Development Bank if elected.

Speaking at the NDC’s manifesto launch in Winneba in the Central Region, on August 24, she emphasized the bank’s mission to support female entrepreneurs who struggle to secure loans from traditional financial institutions.

This initiative, she stated, aims to bridge the financial gap and empower women in business.

“The Women’s Development Bank will be established to empower female entrepreneurs and small business owners by providing low-interest loans, financial education and sustainable support.

“This initiative will create job opportunities and bring down the financial barriers that many women face when starting and sustaining businesses,” Prof Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang said.

She explained that the initiative would boost the businesses of female entrepreneurs.

“Additionally, the bank will provide women-led businesses with advisory services and low-interest loans, further supporting their growth and success,” she stated.
