Two suspects, Mustapha Abu and Sadat Mohammed Issah, have been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and robbery after allegedly attacking and robbing a policewoman in Nungua.
The victim, Lance Corporal Confidence Tetteh, had her neck slashed with a cutlass and was robbed of her iPhone XR.
The accused, who were riding two motorbikes, allegedly zoomed in on the victim and demanded her phone. When she refused, one of them slashed her neck.
These suspects were later intercepted by police at a snap check point, and the stolen phone was recovered.
The Accra Circuit Court Eleven, presided over by Her Honour Basilia Adjei-Tawiah has adjourned the case to July 31, 2025, after determining the ages of the accused.
Abu is believed to be between 16 and 17 years old, while Issah is at least 19 years old.
