Vice President bids farewell to Palestinian Ambassador, honouring 11 years of diplomatic excellence

Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has paid tribute to His Excellency Abdulfatah Ahmed Khalifa Al Sattari, the outgoing Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Ghana, on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, acknowledging his 11 years of unwavering dedication to strengthening Ghana–Palestine relations.

The ceremony, which brought together distinguished dignitaries, including the Palestinian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Her Excellency Varsen Aghabekian, and Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. James Gyakye Quayson, was a testament to the profound impact of Ambassador Al Sattari’s tireless efforts in fostering cooperation and friendship between the two countries.

In her remarks, Vice President Opoku-Agyemang extolled the Ambassador’s exceptional service, saying:

“Ghana appreciates the consistency and warmth with which he carried out his diplomatic responsibilities, and the positive impact his work has had in our country.”

The Vice President expressed Ghana’s gratitude for Ambassador Al Sattari’s remarkable contributions, stating:

“We thank Ambassador Al Sattari for his service. We wish him well as he continues his journey, and we remain confident that the bonds he has helped to strengthen between our nations will endure.”

Ambassador Al Sattari’s departure marks the end of an era in Ghana–Palestine relations, but his legacy of cooperation and friendship will continue to inspire future generations.

As he embarks on his next journey, Ghana remains committed to nurturing the strong ties forged during his tenure.
