The Ghana Police Service has interdicted five of its personnel for acts of misconduct involving the unauthorised use of police uniforms on social media platforms.
In a statement issued by the Public Affairs Directorate, the Service said the officers were sanctioned after investigations revealed improper use of official police attire for non-approved purposes online.

The officers who have been interdicted are G/Sgt. Samuel Agbemanyale, G/Cpl. Isaac Mpere, G/Cpl. Samuel Agbo, G/Cpl. Charles Oduro, and PW/Const. Elizabeth Dicka Korkor.
According to the statement, the officers have been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau for further investigations and any necessary disciplinary action.
The Police Service reiterated its commitment to professionalism, discipline and ethical conduct, stressing that personnel are expected to adhere strictly to regulations governing the use of official uniforms and conduct on social media.
The statement was signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Richmond Mensah, on behalf of the Director-General of Public Affairs.
