GSFP conducts monitoring exercise in Volta, Bono, and Bono East Regions

The Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) has undertaken a one-week monitoring and supervision exercise across selected districts in the Volta, Bono, and Bono East Regions to ensure effective implementation of the programme and strict adherence to approved operational standards.

The exercise, conducted from January 26 to 30, 2026, focused on inspecting kitchen equipment used by caterers, assessing eating utensils, and verifying hygiene and sanitation practices at feeding centers.

The monitoring team also reviewed records of daily feeding activities, including beneficiary numbers and meal consistency, to promote accurate reporting and accountability.

Additionally, the exercise assessed the level of collaboration between caterers and school authorities, with particular attention to timely meal preparation to prevent disruptions to instructional hours.

The GSFP monitoring team noted commendable efforts by several caterers and schools in maintaining acceptable hygiene standards and ensuring the provision of nutritious meals to pupils.

Caterers were also provided with guidelines to address gaps identified during the exercise.

The Ghana School Feeding Programme commends all stakeholders for their continued support and cooperation toward the effective implementation and sustainability of the programme.
