Concerned Citizen Urges Roads Minister to fix Kasoa-Malam Road Stretch.

A concerned citizen, Nana Ayannor Osei Nkwantabisa I, has appealed to the Minister for Roads and Highways to urgently rehabilitate the deteriorating Kasoa Toll Booth–Mallam Junction stretch of road, describing the situation as unacceptable and a major source of hardship for commuters.

In an open letter addressed to the Roads Minister, Nana Ayannor expressed concern over the worsening condition of the road, particularly following recent heavy rains that have left sections riddled with potholes and trenches.

According to him, commuters travelling between Kasoa and Mallam have been forced to spend more than four hours in traffic, significantly affecting productivity and causing frustration among road users.

He noted that the situation has become increasingly difficult since the onset of the rains, with traffic congestion stretching from the Kasoa-Tuba Toll Booth area to Mallam Junction.

While commending the government for ongoing road construction projects across the country, the concerned citizen called on the Minister to direct the relevant agencies under his ministry to address what he described as preventable road defects before they escalate into major challenges.

He further urged the Minister to demand accountability from officials of the Urban Roads Department and engineers responsible for maintaining roads within the capital.

Among the critical areas highlighted for urgent intervention are the Tuba Junction road, the Atala stretch, the McCarthy Hill–Mallam Junction section, the Sakaman–Dansoman Junction road, and the Dansoman Main Junction, which he said have all deteriorated significantly.

Nana Ayannor appealed to the Roads Minister to treat the matter as a priority and ensure that the affected roads are rehabilitated to ease the burden on commuters and improve transportation within the Greater Accra Region.

He expressed hope that the concerns raised would receive the urgent attention they deserve.
