President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Deputy Minister of Energy, Herbert Krapa as the new Board Chair of the Electricity Company Ghana (ECG).
This follows the resignation of Keli Gadzekpo on Tuesday, March 26, 2027 citing personal reasons.
Mr Krapa’s appointment comes at a time the ECG is grappling with power crisis.
In the past few weeks, the power distribution company has come under intense pressure and scrutiny over revenue mobilization and demands for a load shedding timetable.
Last week the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission, PURC ordered ECG to submit a comprehensive load-shedding timetable by April 2, 2024 or face the consequences
