The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has formally charged former Board Chairman of the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Paul Adom-Otchere, in connection with an ongoing investigation into a controversial revenue assurance contract.
Mr. Adom-Otchere, along with Otchere Kwame Baffour Awuah, GACL’s Group Executive for Commercial Services, and Albert Adjetey Adjei-Laryea, CEO of Devnest Systems, has been questioned and charged by the OSP.
The case involves alleged procurement breaches surrounding a contract awarded to a private firm linked to the owner of Strategic Mobilisation Ghana Ltd (SML).
According to the OSP, the contract was sole sourced to a company other than the one approved by the GACL Board, raising serious procurement and governance concerns.
While the two other suspects have met their bail conditions, Mr. Adom-Otchere remains in custody after failing to satisfy his bail terms, which require two landed properties registered in his name.
He has reportedly informed investigators that he does not own any such property in Ghana.
The investigation is ongoing.
