Akufo Addo and Bawumia- led have been the most reckless in Ghana’s history – Mahama

Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Draman Mahama says the high level of despondency especially among the youth reflect how reckless the Akufo Addo -Bawumia government have been over the last seven to eight years.

According to John Mahama, the duo aside messing up the economy as a result of bad governance and greed, they have taken the people for granted and continue deman them with uninspiring abusive comments and lies.

John Mahama was was addressing a mini durbar at Dedodo, in the Ho West constituency of the Volta region, Presidents are elected to serve the people or the tax payer and not a select few.

“I cared about every Ghanaian anywhere in this country. Unfortunately for us, we have a current President whose only interest is about his family, cronies and those who voted for him” be lamented.

John Mahama whose campaign has been highlighting the despicable state capture agenda cited what he described as unacceptable ‘reckless’ comments in response to simple requests not just from ordinary people but traditional leaders.

“They have been total disaster. When he eventually made it to Mepe to visit VRA-induced flood victims, the best he could tell the Chiefs and people was that if he was to look at votes, which he did not get from them, he shouldn’t have been there to console them. He made similar comments at Denu in response to Paramount Chief Togbui Fiti’s request for the completion an abandoned E- block, which was 90% complete. That he should find his own money to do so. The people of Ekumfi were not spared as he bluntly told their Chiefs he has denied them
Of projects because they did not vote for NPP’s Parliamentary candidate”

“When the Akosombo Dam spillage took place, it flooded people’s properties. Mepe was under water completely, several villages were inundated, people lost their livelihoods. Today people are still not in their homes, they’re living in refugee camps. And the president of Ghana goes there and says I came here just because I am President but if it was based on the votes you voted for me I won’t be here”

“That’s the most unfeeling, uncaring reckless statement any President can make in history. Presidents don’t speak like that” he bemoaned
