Mahama meets Duffuor on 2024 strategy, NDC’s future

The 2024 Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress has held a strategic meeting with former Finance Minister, Dr Kwabena Duffuor, who contested in in the party’s flagbearer race in May this year, on how to build on the party’s united front for a convincing victory, come December 7, 2024.

Accompanying him was his son, Dr Kwabena Duffuor Jnr., who painfully lost his Parliamentary bid in the Sekyere Afram Plains Constituency, as a result of what analysts ascribed to the injunction case initiated to suspend NDC’s Presidential primaries at the time.

In a brief post on facebook on Monday December 4, 2023, the former President, summarized his meeting with Dr Duffuor who contested him during the 2022 flagbearer race as a fruitful one which also focused on the party’s future.


He wrote…. “It was great meeting with Dr Kwabena Duffuor as we discussed the future of our party and the upcoming 2024 elections. It is important for us to come together and work towards unity and the growth of our party,”.

He added… “Let’s focus on our common goals and aspirations to build the Ghana we want together. Together4Change and for #Victory2024.”
Present at the meeting were former Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, professor Joshua Alabi, a Functional Executive member of the party, founding member of the NDC, Huudu Yahya and General Secretary, Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey.

It will be recalled that the Dr Duffuor, issued a statement immediately after the Presidential primaries affirming his commitment towards the party following rumors about his possible exit to form a party.
