Scores of NDC supporters from all walks of life led by motor bikers honking loud in jubilation amidst drumming and dancing virtually blocked forced the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama’s convoy to follow as they led him to the durbar grounds upon arrival at Juapong on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.
Mr Mahama’s tour is the second after a successful campaign in the Upper East region last week.
It comes a day after the former President officially launched the NDC Youth Manifesto which spelt our well thought through policy proposals to revamp and open up economy, skills training, industrial growth for job opportunities
Addressing Chiefs and people of the area, Mr Mahama drew their attention to the neglect, bitter experiences under the Akufo Addo Bawumia led NPP government which lied its way to power and urged them join the masses across the country to vote them out.
The four-day Volta region tour, which will involve community engagements, mini durbars and courtesy calls on traditional leaders shall take him to all the eighteen (18) constituencies in that region.
According to his iterenary, John Mahama and his entourage will also engage traders at Dededo market in the Ho West constituency.
Mr Mahama is also expected to pay courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of the Asogli Traditional area before heading for the Kpetoe Community engagement in Agotime Ziope.
John Mahama will end the day with a youth Townhall Meeting at Ho Technical University
