NDC must deal with 'tribal bigot' Nitiwul ruthlessly - Mugabe fires

Broadcaster Salifu Maase, also known as Mugabe Maase, has berated former Minister for Defence, Domic Nitiwul over his recent comments about Kokombas and the Gas, thereby sparking tribal controversies in the country.

Speaking on his programme, Inside Police on TV XYZ, the vociferous TV host said the recent comment from Nitiwul can bring about chaos, distort public peace, and harmonious relations among the different ethnic communities (Kokombas and Gas) who live and conduct business in Accra.

In a video circulating on social media Dominic Ntiwul allegedly made tribal remarks in relation to the relocation of Konkomba Yam Market at Agbogbloshie in Accra for the construction of a 24-Hour Market.

He is heard saying, “We don’t see what the Konkomba tribe has done against the Government, that they have only come to the centre of Agbogbloshie, where the Konkombas reside, and decided to site the 24-hour market there.

“You left all the other areas and came to where only the Konkombas are—where they have their market. You have marked every store in the market to be demolished. You have also marked where they sleep to be demolished and left every other person.”

“What crime have they committed? Are they not Ghanaians? So why? Why are they being targeted?” Ntiwul stated.

But reacting to the issue, Mugabe stated the government was being lenient with the MP for Bimbila because he should have known better by virtue of his background in security and intelligence.

“Nitiwul is useless… You and your NPP government demolished the La Polyclinic that was serving the Ga people and failed to reconstruct it. You didn’t see anything wrong with that wicked act but quick to incite Kokombas against Gas,” he said in Akan.

“The NDC must deal with this nation wrecker and if they don’t do that and he misbehaves again, I will personally handle him.”

Meanwhile, Two leading officers of the United Party, Solomon Owusu and Andrew Appiah-Danquah have petitioned the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service to invite Former Defence Minister and MP for Bimbilla, Dominic Nitiwul for questioning over his recent tribal comments.
