Flag Bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama has described the monumental failure of New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer at Sunday’s press encounter as a testament of lies he and his government has been associated with.
According to Mr Mahama the Vice President who has always been vocal in criticizing the NDC, touting himself as the brain behind some NPP initiatives, suddenly became a stammerer during his press encounter on Sunday, August 25,2024.
Addressing Chiefs and People of Kasseh in the Ada constituency of the Greater Accra Region as part of phase 1 of his tour on Tuesday, August 27,2024 the former President said the intention of the press encounter was to give the NPP prominence in the media but that disgracefully backfired.
“If you do something with a devious intention it backfires on you. We announced that we were going to launch our manifesto on 24th August immediately, our opponents announced that they were going to holda media encounter on the 25th of August, the very next day. The agenda was to turn the attention of Ghanaians from the NDC Manifesto” but they “ had a slap on their faces” that is their evil plan backfired” he stated.
Mr Mahama further added that Dr. Bawumia’s inability to answer simple questions at the presser shows the extent to which they were badly exposed
“You know when to tell when someone is lying, there are people who are smooth talkers who can speak like machine guns but when they start stamering then you know they are lying ” he said
“Someone who can speak like AK-47 suddenly at a media encounter he becomes a stamerer” he mocked
Mr Mahama reiterated the need for leaders to pride themselves with honesty and truthfulness
