The Nkawie Divisional Police Command has arrested the prime suspect in connection with the recent robbery and murder at the Radiance Filling Station in Mpasatia, Ashanti Region.
The suspect, William Ofori Atta, was apprehended at his hideout in Kukuom, Ahafo Region, during a coordinated operation led by the Ashanti Regional Cyber Crime Unit, the Kukuom Police, and the Nkawie Divisional Command.
The arrest took place in the early hours of Saturday, June 21, 2025, at approximately 5:30 a.m.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to fatally shooting the victim, Emmanuel Kwabena Boakye, during a robbery at the filling station on May 26, 2025.
A mobile phone, believed to belong to the deceased, was recovered from the suspect and will undergo forensic analysis as part of ongoing investigations.
The suspect is currently in police custody and will be arraigned in court in due course to face charges.
