DVLA opens new office in Dormaa to improve access to licensing services

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has opened a new office in Dormaa, Bono Region, to bring its services closer to residents and ease the challenges of long-distance travel for licensing and regulatory support.

The inauguration ceremony was chaired by the Gyaasehene of Dormaa, Barima Buabasa Oppong Yaw Ababio, and attended by traditional leaders, political authorities, and senior DVLA officials.

Bono Regional Minister, Joseph Addae Akwaboah, hailed the initiative as “long overdue,” noting that residents previously endured long travel hours to access DVLA services.

“That challenge has come to an end,” he said, commending the Authority for expanding operations to the area.

Member of Parliament for Dormaa, John Adu Jack, also welcomed the move, describing the new office as a major boost to local development.

DVLA Chief Executive, Julius Neequaye Kotey, urged residents to fully utilise the facility while stressing the importance of responsible road use, compliance with licensing regulations, and support for the Authority’s modernisation agenda.
