NSA reopens 2025/2026 national service registration after system overhaul

The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced the reopening of online registration for the 2025/2026 national service year following a comprehensive overhaul of its digital systems.

The new registration window will open on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, and close on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

The announcement was made by the Director-General of the NSA, Mrs. Ruth Dela-Seddoh, during a press briefing in Accra.

According to Mrs. Dela-Seddoh, the decision follows a directive from President John Dramani Mahama after a technical and forensic audit of the previous Central Service Management Platform (CSMP) uncovered major deficiencies affecting the system’s integrity and performance.

She revealed that the audit identified issues such as data inconsistencies and age discrepancies, which necessitated the development of a more transparent and secure digital infrastructure.

Consequently, the Authority has designed and deployed a new, robust digital platform to ensure real-time verification, stronger data security, and greater transparency throughout the registration process.

Mrs. Dela-Seddoh also announced that all registrations completed in June 2025 have been declared null and void, and that all prospective national service personnel must re-register on the new platform.

She assured affected individuals that refunds will be issued to all legitimate registrants from the June exercise who had already paid their service fees.

To guide prospective applicants, step-by-step registration procedures will be published on the Authority’s newly revamped website, www.gnsa.gov.gh, starting Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

The NSA further disclosed a range of IT reforms and internal control measures aimed at addressing payroll fraud and improving the timely payment of allowances.

The Authority is collaborating with the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) to enhance financial oversight and accountability.

It will also conduct periodic efficiency audits to strengthen operational performance and transparency.

According to the statement, all national service personnel are expected to report to their assigned service stations on Saturday, November 1, 2025, with the service year officially commencing on Monday, November 3, 2025.

Mrs. Dela-Seddoh reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to ensuring a transparent, efficient, and secure registration process, emphasizing that the new platform represents a major step toward restoring public confidence in the national service registration system.

For further details, applicants are encouraged to visit the NSA’s official website or follow its verified social media channels for updates.
