The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, is in Qatar for an official visit at the invitation of the Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani.
Our fruitful bilateral discussions have focused on strengthening ties, increasing trade, enhancing strategic security cooperation, and collaborating on conflict mediation, as both countries remain committed to a multilateral, rules-based order anchored on peace and stability.
We also agreed to work toward easing visa requirements to facilitate the movement of people and goods, a step expected to boost the existing direct flights between our two nations.
Ghana and Qatar have further agreed to fast-track the conclusion of a labour mobility agreement, which will create job opportunities for thousands of skilled young Ghanaians.
To deepen business partnerships and synergies, both sides have also resolved to facilitate a Presidential Ghana–Qatar Business Forum during President John Mahama’s visit to Qatar next month.
God bless Ghana 🇬🇭–Qatar 🇶🇦 relations.
