The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has taken a significant step to boost staff welfare and productivity by commissioning six brand-new buses.
The initiative aims to ease transportation challenges faced by staff, particularly junior officers, amid Accra’s congested public transport system.
The buses, 2025-model Toyota Coaster 29-seaters, were procured through a competitive process and will be used to support protocol duties, official functions, and visiting delegations.
Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said the initiative addresses staff concerns and comes at a strategic time, with upcoming international engagements and the Diaspora Summit on the horizon.
Drivers have been cautioned to adhere strictly to road safety regulations, while management has assured that the buses will receive proper maintenance.
The Ministry described the investment as a commitment to staff welfare, punctuality, and overall productivity.
