The Eastern Regional Minister, Mrs. Rita Akosua Awatey-Adjei, says the numerous development projects undertaken by the current government will significantly influence how Ghanaians vote in the 2028 general elections.
Speaking during the commissioning and inspection of some projects at Kade in the Kwaebibirem Municipality of the Eastern Region, the Minister noted that the government has executed many visible projects across the country. She explained that the projects cut across roads, health, education, water, and agriculture, and are aimed at improving the living standards of citizens.
According to her, the administration remains committed to listening to the people and delivering on their needs. She assured residents that more developmental projects are in the pipeline for the Eastern Region.
“This government is a listening one and will continue to do the will of the people,” she stated. “We are not just commissioning projects for today, but we are laying the foundation for a better future for our children and the next generation.”
The Chief of Akyem Kyinso Amanfrom, Barima Appiah Kyerenanka II, also commended the government for its good work.
He urged the government not to relent in its development efforts, cautioning that failure to continue could affect its fortunes in 2028.
“If the government stops the good work, Ghanaians will vote against them in 2028,” she warned.
Also speaking to the media, the Municipal Chief Executive for Kwaebibirem Municipality, Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Nti, highlighted numerous projects he has executed since assuming office. He said the Assembly has focused on classroom blocks, health facilities, market infrastructure, and road rehabilitation to bring development closer to the people.
Hon. Nti added that the projects were made possible through government support and internally generated funds. He called on residents to protect the facilities and work together with the Assembly to attract more development to the municipality.
“We are determined to ensure that Kwaebibirem becomes a model municipality in terms of development,” he said.
