The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) on Tuesday arrested a Nigerian man who was hoarding suspected cocaine at his residence.
Acting on intelligence, officers intercepted a total of 6 bags of cocaine.
An official who disclosed the arrest to Myxyzonline.com said “each of the bags weighs 33.22 so in total we have in our custody 199.32kg.”
The officials picked him up in his Adenta residence upon a tip off.
The suspect whose name NACOC officials did not disclose is said to be very rich and owns “many properties in Ghana”.
He is believed to be trading in hard drugs and running a syndicate in Accra.
Officials said they are tracing his properties and possible accomplices while police continue with their investigations.
