Support your own, Let’s make history by electing the first female Vice President – Mahama rallies women

Flag Bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has made a passionate appeal to women to support their own by voting for the NDC in the December 7 polls.

John Mahama who was addressing a mini durbar at Talensi in the Upper East region as part of his campaign tour notes that women play critical role in nation building and some achievers have occupied almost every high office except that if the President and or a Vice.

For him, Ghana is set to make history and Ghanaians particularly women must join that course come December 7, 2025.

“We have female Chief Justice, a female Speaker of Parliament, women have been Directors of Prisons, Attorney General except the highest offices of the land. That is President and Vice President” he stated

John Mahama observed that the call for history to be made is particularly important because his Running Mate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman is a well accomplished women without any ‘credibility’ blemish having served as the first female Vice Chancellor of a public University.

“She is not only going to be Vice President because she is a woman but because she is a highly capable and qualified woman. She has made history before. She was the first female Vice Chancellor of a public university and she has been Minister of Education before” he touted

Mr. Mahama was confident women who make up majority of the population and Ghanaians at large, will give the NDC the nod on 7th December.

“For the first time in our history, history is going to be made because by the grace of God on 7th December, 2024 a woman is going to become the first female Vice President our country”
